hey-its been awhile and a new year has started. with a new year comes change and the hunger is no different. as of the new year giovani capelo has moved on and is no longer a member of the hunger. the band will take a month off and then get back to business. he will be missed-he is a great drummer. later-jeff/thehunger

hey there-it has been a while so i say i'm sorry. no excuses just didn't get the job done. now we can move onto the topics at hand. first, i thank all who attended the galveston show and where witness to one of the strangest shows ever. i will only say that GTown did something to the band and made everyone crazy. i felt lucky to get off the island because i was damn sure the pier was gonna fall on my head. hey what's up people! i'm taking a very unscientific poll to decide what "cover song" we should perform at the next show. i keep screaming "rebel yell" by billy idol or the deftones "shut up". heck-i don't know i just want to do something different for old times sake. jump on the message board and tell me what you think. don't give me any stupid celine dion requests because i am just gonna wipe my butt with them. i would like to know what you think and next week i will decide and try it out. on a seperate note-Mr.Rick "IYF" is a brand new poppa. it's a boy-hell yeah! all the congrats and love in the world to you. we hope the misses is doing well because we know rick didn't do shit! take care-jeff

hey people-thanks for coming out yesterday and checking out the show. man it sure was hot-that is why you don't play outside in texas in the summertime. as for the show: the houston press awards and the shows they put on every year are a great thing for this town. i really appreciate what they do for the bands and their commitment to doing it. suggestion-move it back inside-TO HOT OUTSIDE! thanks none the less especially to tracy and dana from the press-THANKS! i must say i woke up feeling pretty good today. that's what happens when you cant drink rumple at the show. it was great to see you guys and i will see you at scout bar. later-jeff

hey guys-whats up and how are you doing. just checking in with an update. we have been busy working "ole classic's" for upcoming show to liven up the set list. some of these songs we have not played since ??? it showed when we practiced but rest assured we will kick it soon enough and rock that shit next show. as for recording the new record-it is still on and in the works. i have checked the message board and listened to your comments. i don't know what will happen yet but i hear what you're saying. later-jeff

good morning-how is everyone and whats going on! just wanted to make you aware of something going on in the world of the hunger. our "MySpace" site is changing and the old "master" is wanting to pass his skills on to someone new. jason-you have done a wonderful job and made our site something to be proud of. thanks for putting your heart and soul into helping the band. we really appreciate all you do. we now need people who are interested in getting involved and running the site. as jason said it is a daily operation so you better love what you do. send me an email and let me know and we'll revamp the site. stay tuned-jeff/thehunger

hey-what the hell-twice in the same week. what's going on? you know what, we sat down and said fuck a bunch of greatest near hits CD. it's going to be a new record or nothing at all! i will tell you guys that it will not take 3 years but hopefully 3-4months, it will be previewed in it's demo form on the internet and it will be different. there you go BIZZACH! who loves you baby? you guy's are all the motivation i need to go out and make this CD. fuck the radio, fuck a single and fuck 3 years! Friends, Houstonians, Family: it has been officially decided and the band is going to immediately start the recording of a new record. after a lot of thought amongst all the members we feel we have something to say and something to prove. i feel like a boxer who has lost his title belt-I WANT IT BACK! We plan to attempt to write this record in a couple of months and let you guys here it. I'm really excited as this record will be the first record where we really try to sit down and write it all together. It should make for a change in the sound and maybe the style but change could be good. right on! as for the show at scout bar last week-when is the last time you where at a show at scout that went off like that. the hunger friends and family were CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! holy crap-i really felt the love in the building and it was just another reason i felt obligated and driven to make a new record. you guys do it to me! I will get started on this record this monday and unlike other hunger records give weekly or bi-weekly video and audio updates on the site. take care people-jeff/thehunger

hey guys-just keeping you informed about things going on with the band and another band in town. we have a show coming up on may 6th at sam's concert hall. it should be a great event and a drunken time. sams is knowm for turning the normal, quiet person into a complete drunken idiot. lets all go be drunken idiots together-it should be great! we've also decided that over the next 2 month period we are going to lock ourselves up and write a new record. i will keep you informed but you heard me right-a new record. one last topic is the message board. it seems some of you guys have been battling it out with the fans of blue october via both bands message boards. i think its great, old fashioned american fun so have at it. i only ask that you show them the same respect you've shown the hunger over all these years. you can hate them if thats what you want to do, but do it with class and dignity. i personally have met and spoken with the guys from blue october on many occasions and i must admit, they are extremely nice texas guys. i couldn't be happier for them and all their success. they have been trying just as long as the hunger and they finally made it. Congrats! you will never see me on their message board but spread the word-the hunger says a million congratulations. Now when their fans are slammin the hunger on the message boards do what you got to do, battle it out, but do it respectfully. go get em team! love you guys-jeff
